Get the lemon chicken pita or the chicken shawarma. Also, get the garlic fries. The service was great.

This time I went with the Chicken Shawarma entree, with a salad and rice pilaf. Again, this was a tasty meal with good flavors. The portion wasn't the biggest, but it satisfied my lunch hunger, and since this was through Mealpal, it made the price reasonable. Speaking of Mealpal, this was part of my MealPal experience. Check out my Mealpal DTLA collection of you want to follow along. If you are scratching your head about MealPal...google it. The meal was not quite ready for pick-up.

There are a few George's Greek Grill in the downtown area, and this one is as good as the others. It's not as good and authentic as say, Papa Cristos, but it does the job if you want some Greek flavors and a quick work lunch. The food can take a while, so I recommend calling ahead if you're picking up your food. The restaurant itself has a good number of tables, and there is an outdoor patio area that is partly covered. Today I ordered the quarter dark chicken with hummus and Greek salad. The chicken was tender and juicy, and it's served with a small side of tahini sauce. The combo allows you to get two sides, and I went with hummus and Greek Salad. The hummus was tasty and had a good consistency. It was also served with a few pieces of pita for dipping. The Greek salad has a good amount of feta, and the vinegary dressing is a nice flavor complement to the chicken and hummus.
